Leave your Legacy

Hafal means ‘equal’ and we’ve been campaigning for people will mental illness to have equal rights around their care, accommodation, education, finances and more, for decades. Sadly, we know that we’ll need to keep campaigning for decades to come.

But did you know we also care for people with dementia, children with long term, life limiting conditions and people with additional learning needs.

Why are gifts in wills so important?

These special gifts are so important to Hafal and the people we support.

Imagine being able to provide long lasting friendly contact for someone who feels totally alone, respite care for someone with learning disabilities, or their carer or a holiday for a child who faces significant health challenges.

You can do this, through a gift in your will.

Knowing about your gift helps us plan for the future, and in these uncertain times, a gift in your will has never been more important.

How we’re funded

At the moment, most of our income comes from contracts with health boards, local authorities and the Welsh Government. That leaves us vulnerable to funding cuts and changing funding priorities. We need donations from people who support our work to help us continue to deliver the kinds of services that change lives.

When the time comes

When the time comes, and if you’d like to, please consider supporting a charity like Hafal through a gift in your will. After you’ve made sure that those you love are looked after, a gift of even 1% of your estate could mean that Hafal can continue campaigning and changing lives.

What you need to know

If, after you’ve provided for your loved ones, you’d like to leave a gift in your will to Hafal, you’ll need our charity address and registered number.

  • Hafal, Unit B3, Lakeside Technology Park, Phoenix Way, Llansamlet, Swansea, SA7 9FE
  • Registered Charity Number 1093747
