Will you help us be there for people with serious mental illness, and their carers, in these trying times?
At this time of great worry and uncertainty for us all, I sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are in good health.
In terms of Hafal, I can assure you that we are following Government advice and have put strict measures in place to protect staff and everybody they come into contact with.
As I am sure you appreciate, as a charity that exists to protect and care for vulnerable people with serious mental illness, we are at this moment putting plans into place help mitigate the impact of the coronavirus on their health and well-being.
We are changing the way we offer our support, so that the people who need us can have that support on a one to one, virtual or telephone basis, depending on need. This is so important now that our group-based services are under threat. The people who use and need our services will have increasing needs over the coming months and it is essential that we find ways to support them, despite the current crisis.
Inevitably, these new interventions will place a considerable strain on our resources which is why I am turning to you as generous and compassionate supporters of Hafal, today.
Please will you consider helping us reach out to vulnerable people with serious mental illness, and their carers through this incredibly difficult period, by giving a small donation today? Just £10 could help us provide telephone support to someone worried about the impact of isolation on their mental health.
Today, perhaps more than most, we are hoping we can count on you.
Our charity was founded to support and care for people with serious mental illness and their carers, and I am determined that we must continue to be there for them over the weeks and months to come, when they may need us more than ever before. I hope you are in a position to help ensure this is the case by giving a donation today.
With my thanks and very best wishes.
