Short Steps Project


Hafal's Short Steps project provides support to people recovering from serious mental illness and their carers who may be interested in work-related activity as part of their recovery.
The aim of the project is to support service users and/or carers into education, training, volunteering or employment as detailed in their Recovery Plan.
This support will enable people to make informed choices about their future and help them to fulfil their potential.

Short Steps Regional Employment Services
Hafal's regional employment services provides: Support to Hafal staff in Employment, Educational and Training users. This can be in a number of forms including:-
• Advice & Guidance. • Helping raise employers' awareness of supported employment. • Helping to identify potential part-time or full-time voluntary or paid employment opportunities. • A national route providing information. • Helping with job searches. • Guidance and the developing of a personal development plan tailored to your needs.
