Hafal Ceredigion receives generous donation after Census bike ride

L-R Cllr Mari Turner, Mayor of Aberystwyth; Ian Bell, Deputy National Statistician for Population and Public Policy at ONS; Wayne Hurley, Service Manager Ceredigion, and Gareth Evans, Service User, Hafal Ceredigion

Hafal Ceredigion was delighted to receive a donation of £525 from Ian Bell from the Census team who recently took part in a charity bike ride.

Ian is the Deputy National Statistician for Population and Public Policy at the Office of National Statistics and took on the challenge of cycling an astonishing 500 miles from Carlisle down to Ceredigion and across to London Hackney and Tower Hamlets, raising money for four charities chosen by the mayors and councillors of those areas.

We’d like to say a huge thanks to the Mayor of Aberystwyth Cllr Mari Turner for choosing Hafal to receive this money – and to Ian for this magnificent fundraising effort!
