Rhyl ‘Thriller’ raises £5,000 for Hafal!

Huge congratulations to Sarah Harrison from St Asaph who has organised a re-enactment of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ music video to raise money for Hafal and increase mental health awareness.

Having had friends who experienced mental illness, Sarah and her friends came together to raise money for Hafal’s work by re-enacting the dance routine to ‘Thriller’, just as they performed it on stage 30 years ago!

The fundraising event also featured live performances from Sarah Baldock and her team of strictly ballroom dancers and Mike Carran, formerly of Rhyl bands ‘Hidden Secret’ and ‘Firetown’.

Held in Rhyl town hall on Saturday night, the routine was brilliantly performed, and raised a whopping £5,000 for Hafal’s work!

Thank you to Sarah, all of the performers – and everyone who kindly donated!
