Many congratulations to Time to Change Wales champion Beverley Jones who has won Business Wales Mentor of the Year Award!

Businesswoman and coach Beverley picked up the ‘Mentor of the Year 2017 – Supporting Existing Businesses’ title at the Welsh Government Business Wales Excellence in Business Awards on Thursday 26th January at City Hall, Cardiff. Shortlisted mentors and mentees attended the event where awards were given out by the Business Wales team.

Based at Hafal, Beverley has been a Time to Change Wales champion for almost five years and has delivered no less than 110 talks to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. Beverley is currently working as a consultant, helping to develop and take forward the Time to Change Wales champion role.

Beverley has also been a mentor with Business Wales for the last four years. She told us: “Having worked in the corporate world for 30 years and having my own business for six-and-a-half years, I am pleased that I am able to give something back by working as a volunteer mentor through which I help others grow their businesses. I am especially proud as this award was as a result of being nominated by one of my mentees.”

Following the awards, Beverley has supported local entrepreneurs by opening the doors at the launch of The South Wales Business Show at Chepstow Racecourse, which was opened by Nick Ramsay AM.
