“Taking the Wheel”, the national client-run campaign to put mental health service users in the driving seat, reaches the Eisteddfod, Wrexham and District, July 30th – August 6th.

Following on from its fantastic success at the Royal Welsh Show, “Taking the Wheel”, the service-user led campaign which aims to empower people with a serious mental illness in Wales to take control of their lives and the services they receive, is moving on to the Eisteddfod, which takes place in Wrexham and District, from July 30th – August 6th.

Taking the Wheel’s next stop – the North Wales Event

“Taking the Wheel”, a service-user led campaign which aims to empower people with a serious mental illness in Wales to take control of their lives and the services they receive, will be at Hafal’s annual North Wales Event on Wednesday July 27th 2011.

Health and Social Services Minister Lesley Griffiths AM to launch mental health DVD

Health and Social Services Minister Lesley Griffiths AM will launch “Safeguarding for the protection of vulnerable adults”, an educational DVD made by Hafal mental health service users and carers in conjunction with Wrexham Borough County Council and the Social Services Improvement Agency (SSIA), at the Council Chambers, Guildhall, Wrexham on July 29th.
