Hafal Campaigns Manager John Abbott presents Dr Dai Lloyd with a copy of Hafal’s recently published “New Values – New Practice”
Plaid Cymru AM Dr Dai Lloyd visited Hafal on Monday April 6th to reiterate his desire to see real progress to mental health services in Wales.
Dr Lloyd, a member of the National Assembly for Wales’ Health, Wellbeing and Local Government Committee, recently visited Hafal’s project in Swansea.
On visiting Hafal’s HQ in Llandarcy Dr Lloyd was presented with a copy of Hafal’s latest publication “New Values – New Practice”, a report which represents the views of Hafal Members who made concrete suggestions on what they’d like to see in the Assembly Government’s National Service Framework which is due at the end of this year.
Dr Lloyd, AM for South Wales West, said he was very pleased to see users’ voices being taken into account when considering the application of new practices.
He also stated that the newly restructured NHS in Wales must have a clear mandate on mental health issues and gave his full support to the work Hafal does.
